AMSA DCV Suveys

AMSA-accredited Domestic Commercial Vessel surveys ensuring compliance, safety and operational readiness.

Keeping your commercial vessel compliant, safe and operational.

Midwest Marine Group provides accredited AMSA Domestic Commercial Vessel (DCV) surveys throughout Western Australia and across Australia. Our experienced marine surveyors conduct inspections in accordance with the National Law Act, the National Standard for Commercial Vessels (NSCV) and applicable Marine Orders, helping vessel owners maintain compliance while minimising operational downtime.

We undertake Initial, Periodic, Renewal and Modification Surveys for a wide range of commercial vessels, including fishing vessels, workboats, passenger vessels, barges, tugs and other domestic commercial craft. Each survey is planned around your operational schedule to reduce disruption while ensuring all statutory requirements are satisfied.

Renewal Surveys, required every five years, involve a comprehensive inspection of the vessel both afloat and out of the water. Depending on the survey scope, inspections may include assessment of the hull structure, propulsion and steering systems, machinery, electrical installations, safety equipment, stability documentation and other systems required under the vessel's survey classification.

Once your survey codes have been issued by AMSA, Midwest Marine Group manages the survey process from commencement through to completion. We prepare and submit the required documentation directly to AMSA and can assist with Temporary Operations Certificates where required, ensuring your vessel returns to service as quickly as possible.

With extensive experience across commercial fishing, offshore support, workboats, passenger vessels and government fleets, Midwest Marine Group provides practical advice, professional service and independent inspections that give owners confidence their vessels remain compliant, safe and ready for operation.
