Pre-AMSA & Pre-SIRE Inspections

Be ready before the inspector arrives.
Midwest Marine Group provides pre-inspection readiness services ahead of two of the most common inspections commercial vessel operators face: Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) Port State Control inspections and Ship Inspection Report Programme (SIRE) inspections carried out on behalf of oil majors and charterers.
Pre-AMSA Inspection
Our surveyors review your vessel against the areas AMSA inspectors commonly examine, including safety equipment, certification and documentation, structural condition, machinery spaces, pollution prevention equipment, crew familiarity with safety procedures, and compliance with the National Standard for Commercial Vessels (NSCV) and applicable Marine Orders.
Pre-SIRE Inspection
Using the OCIMF Vessel Inspection Questionnaire (VIQ) as our reference, we carry out an independent walk-through covering navigation, cargo and ballast operations, mooring, engine room and machinery spaces, safety equipment, pollution prevention, documentation and crew familiarity with procedures.
In both cases, we provide clear, prioritised recommendations so issues can be rectified before the official inspection takes place, reducing the risk of deficiencies, observations, detentions or delays. Midwest Marine Group's AMSA-accredited surveyors combine this readiness service with our existing survey and compliance experience, giving owners and managers confidence heading into their next inspection.
