Hoegh Trooper – Marine Warranty Survey

Midwest Marine Group was engaged to undertake a Marine Warranty Survey for the Hoegh Trooper following an onboard incident that resulted in damage to the vessel's propulsion machinery.

Over a two-week period in Melbourne, our surveyors provided independent technical oversight to verify the vessel's suitability for the proposed ocean tow to Singapore, where permanent repairs were scheduled to be completed.

The tow operation involved the salvage tug Posh Commander, with assistance from Svitzer harbour tugs for the transit through Port Phillip Bay before commencing the ocean passage to Singapore.

Our scope included verification of the tow arrangements, review of towing equipment and procedures, inspection of critical systems, and confirmation that the operation complied with the applicable Marine Warranty requirements before sailaway approval.
